It looks like a local group of burger restaurants could have some expansion plans in the works.
The Boston Globe is reporting that The Franklin Restaurant Group--which operates several Tasty Burger locations--is hoping to raise $15 million in funds as part of a reorganization that would allow for a possible national expansion. The article quotes Phil Audino of the restaurant group as saying there is "nothing huge on the map" at this point in time, but he does say that the equity is being raised for future expansion, while a statement last month from Suleiman Holdings says that Mark Suleiman has joined the board of directors of Tasty Burger "as the neighborhood burger shop begins its national expansion."
Currently, locations of Tasty Burger can be found in Boston's Fenway neighborhood, Back Bay Station, Dudley Square in Roxbury, South Boston, Cambridge's Harvard Square, and soon, Washington, DC. The Franklin Restaurant Group also runs Franklin Cafe in the South End and in Gloucester, along with Citizen Public House & Oyster Bar in the Fenway.
