753 South to Open in Roslindale

A couple of years ago, we reported that the person behind an upscale Italian restaurant in Roslindale was planning to open a new dining spot across the street. Now we have learned that plans for the place remain in the works, and that it may be getting close to opening.

According to a job post within the bostonchefs.com site, 753 South is opening soon and is currently looking for a sous chef, with the entry also saying that it will be a neighborhood restaurant that will be open for dinner as well as a Sunday brunch. As mentioned earlier, the space in which 753 South is moving had been home to a breakfast place called Derna's (along with a beauty salon next door), and that the owner of Delfino will be running the new eatery.

The address for this upcoming restaurant is 753 South Street, Roslindale, MA, 02131.
