Beard Papa's Plans to Open in Allston

A chain of bakeries based in Japan that claims to have the "world's best cream puffs" may be opening a second location in Boston.

According to a licensing board page within the city of Boston website, Bear Papa's has applied for a common victualler license to operate within a space on Brighton Avenue in Allston, with proposed hours for the place being 10:00 AM to 11:30 PM. If approved, the new location of the bakery will join another on Harrison Avenue in Chinatown, along with others across the United States, in Canada, and beyond.

Another location of Beard Papa's had been in Faneuil Hall, but it closed its doors several years ago.
