Ben and Jerry's Co-Founders Arrested on Steps of U.S. Capitol Building in Washington DC

The people who started a Vermont-based ice cream company were arrested at a protest over the weekend.

CNN is reporting that Ben & Jerry's co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield were among the approximately 300 people who were arrested at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC, on Monday during the "Democracy Awakening" protests, which focused on voting rights, money in politics, and other issues. The article says that Cohen and Greenfield were arrested for unlawful demonstration activities and were processed at the site of the protests and then released. Ben & Jerry's, which is headquartered in Waterbury, VT, first started out in 1978.
