Ramp Up Your Condiments For Upcoming Holidays - Part 1 of 4 REPOST


  

  

Chili-Lime Ketchup.  Stir in minced chipotle pepper in adobo sauce & the juice of 1/2 lime into ketchup as per your tastes. Spread on beef or turkey burgers.

  

  

  

Herb Mustard.  Whisk in 2 TBSN chopped fresh parsley & 1 TSP each minced thyme & rosemary into yellow or Dijon mustard to taste.  Served with grilled steak.

  



Roasted Red Pepper Mayonnaise.  Puree 1 cup of mayonnaise with 1 peeled roasted red pepper till smooth. Serve with sliced vegetables for dipping. 

    



Tropical Salsa.  Stir in 1/2 cup mangoes, pineapple and/or papaya into regular tomato salsa.  Measure to taste.  Spoon onto grilled tuna or swordfish steaks


  



Lime-Cilantro Sour Cream.  Stir into one cup of sour cream a handful of minced fresh cilantro and the juice of 1 lime.  Serve with tacos or fried fish. 

  


Basil Vinaigrette.  Puree vinaigrette (recipe below) and a handful of fresh basil leaves until smooth.  Serve with crusty bread for dipping. 
  • ¾ cup salad oil 
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar
  • Kosher salt and ground white pepper (or freshly ground black pepper), to taste
