One of the region's most beloved bands is playing tonight at a legendary music club that is getting ready to close.
According to an article from Vanyaland, The Pixies will be playing tonight at T.T. the Bear's Place in Cambridge's Central Square, with tickets for the 18+ show going on sale at 2:00 PM at the Orpheum Theatre box office on a first-come-first-served basis, and with a limit of two tickets per sale. The post points out that the last time The Pixies played T.T.'s was in 1987, with Joey Santiago of the band saying that "T.T. the Bear's is one of the clubs that broke us."
T.T. the Bear's is closing its doors for good on July 25 after being in business for more than 25 years; at this point in time, it is not known what will happen to the space.
The address for T.T. the Bear's is 10 Brookline Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139. Its website can be found at http://ift.tt/1jlPH59
