Dosa with Tomato Onion Spread ~ 101 Dosa Varieties!


I am back with a dosa recipe after a long time. Infact today's dish is not a typically a dosa recipe, rather a spread that's quite common in our home. We resort to many such spreads that are spread on the dosa to make a variety and trust me, these spreads take the dosas to a different level all together.



Konda's school reopened and for the boys, the school is yet So we are still enjoying our vacation. These dishes really highlight your day anytime!










Dosa with Tomato Onion Spread



Ingredients Needed:



Dosa Batter as required



Tomato Onion Spread



Tomatoes - 2 medium

Onions - 1 medium

Dry Red Chilies - 3 -4 nos

Coriander leaves handful

Curry leaves handful

Salt to taste

Oil - 1 tsp



How to make the spread



Grind all the ingredients together to an almost coarse paste.



Heat a pan with oil, add the paste and saute well.



Heat a tawa and spread the dosa batter as you do with your regular dosas. Sprinkle oil, and flip on the other side to cook.



After couple of seconds, turn around, spread a teaspoon full of this spicy spread on the dosa top and serve hot.




Notes:



Since this is first ground raw, you can also use green chilies or red chili flakes.



Sauteed and dry spread can be refrigerated for longer duration.
