Cakes ... I simply love baking and relishing on them. I made this eggless plain vanilla cake using yogurt and vegetable oil. Addition of homemade caramel sauce on the top added an extra flavour to cake, it tasted yummy...

Ingredients

3/4 cup all purpose flour

4 tbsp yogurt

1/4 cup + 1 tbsp sugar

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/4 cup vegetable oil



Method

1) Preheat the oven to 180 C.

2) Mix all the above ingredients and beat lightly.

3) Line your baking cake pan with parchment paper.

4) Pour in the batter and cover loosely with aluminium foil. This will prevent the cake from browning on the top.

5) Place it oven and bake. Do the tooth pick test to check for the doneness of the cake.

6) Once done remove from oven and let it cool.

7) Decorate or top it with caramel sauce and serve.
